History:

Furs were an important source of income for rural people up until the late 20 th century.

A fourth generation outdoors man and hunter, Al learned to hunt and trap from his father and grandfather while growing up in western Pennsylvania. Having an affinity for wide-open spaces and all things Western, Al moved to Jackson Hole Wyoming, in the early 1980's, where he guided horseback wilderness pack trips during the summer and hunting trips in the fall. In the winter, Al bought furs from hunters and trappers and shipped them to fur manufacturers in New York, Montreal, and Toronto.

Both blankets and pillows can be custom-made using the highest quality furs in the Rocky Mountain including coyote, red coyote, natural beaver, sheared beaver, mink, sheared mink, red fox, silver fox, and sable. Blankets and throws are backed with polar fleece. Pillow are backed with ultra suede.
Al developed an expertise for grading furs while buying furs for the Hudson Bay Company, and soon he and his wife Bonnie began creating their own custom fur products, using the highest quality furs available.

"We started making fur throws, blankets, pillows, and shams for family and friends." Today, we still make these items, and also carry a variety of fur hats, such as the long standing Royal Canadian Mounted Police hat, replicas of the U. S. Army issue buffalo coats from the 1870's to the 1890's, and distinctive Western style fur vests and jackets incorporating leather fringe and antler buttons.
